Correction, 15 year old boxwoods

It could be the beginning of boxwood blight or one or more fungal issues that can affect box but the photos are from too far away to tell for sure. I'd suggest taking in samples of the discolored portions to your local extension service office for a proper diagnosis.

I think the boxwood blight would be killing them in a more consistent way. Hopefully it's "just" the disease boxwood stem canker disease.
