Tropical Lightning

Finally got my first blooms on this new climber. I hope it doesn't get too tall. I'd rather train it to be a tall shrub. These photos do not so it justice. The coloring is a lot more brown than my camera shows. All the tweaking in Gimp couldn't bring out that color. This is as close as I could get without the photos looking too unnatural! I'm gonna love it!! Hope it repeats well...

I love the variety of colors in it. Stripes creeping in there and all the different shades just screams look at me everyone. I hope it grows the way you want it to.

Oooh!!! I find them both vibrant and soothing. I don't know how that's possible - but I love the look of them!!

Hi bethnorcal9. Have all your blooms been vibrant and included that deep red in the streaks? I just purchased a pot, haven't planted it yet, but the first bud to open is a pale orange and cream, no red. I'm a little bummed and wondering if I need to exchange the plant for one where I can see the colors on the blooms.
