Just found it. Knew it but forgot it and apparently did not make a note of it. I just pulled some out of one of my potted plants and tossed it. It is very invasive here. Here is a link to what it is:

It's a weed in my garden. It pops up where I didn't plant it. That makes it a weed as far as I'm concerned. I pull it wherever I see it and I've been doing that for over 25 years. I can't get rid of it!

Same here! And I am down just north of Santa Barbara, California. It even has taken root in debris that has accumulated in a seam of my greenhouse and is growing on its wall!! Totally an unreal plant.

I guess a weed is just a flower out of place... My Italian relatives, in Italy, have this plant growing in and on their walls, and it looks really so pretty...('muralis = 'muro' Latin & Italian for 'wall'.) I think the ultimate decision of whether to pull or leave is up to you; but it has a definite attractiveness, which is more than can be said for say, ground elder, mare's tails or ground mallow, all of which are invasive and not-too-pretty...

If you look at this picture, you'll see just how 'right' it looks. While I understand those who find it invasive and a nuisance, in the right place, it can look lovely... For more, google 'cymbalaria muralis' and click on 'images'.

In the right spot, yes, it's just fine, but in a rock garden or rock wall it overwhelms smaller specimen plants and is almost uncontrollable once established.

I've seen it growing on crumbling castle walls in Devon right along with Corydalis.

Something of a weed here - but still has a certain charm when growing in a Cambridge brick wall.

I like the plant a lot, but I just wish it would stay put! It pops up in the most unlikely places where it's hard to fight. Crevices mostly.
