Hi Todd. Post pictures when the flowers open. The exact species is Adenium obesum. Until we see the flowers, we wont be able to get an idea of what specific cultivar it is. Even then, we will probably only be partially correct, since these cultivars have been crossed back and forth so many times it is nearly impossible to be certain.

I am not aware of any dispute between A. arabicum and A. obesum, however. Their growth habits---unless crossed with each other--are pretty distinct, even when you can see traces of traits from one on the other.

Almost certainly a very nice looking obesum. Arabicums also grow wide caudexes but in my mind they look very different to this.

Well thank you for information and compliments. I am glad I cut it back as hard as I did because it looks like it is growing a denser crown and more flowers
