Hello! You can cut the broken branch let it dry for a week or two, then plant it in a pot with moist soil, only water when you see a new grow. The other part of the plant will recover itself and will branch again, good luck!

Thank you so much! So the plant branch didn't seem to break completely. About half of the branch was still connected. I went ahead and taped it up really well and it seems to be looking just fine. I read that it is possible for the plant to heal itself as the tape will act like a bandaid. Do you know what the chances are of this working?

If the plant tissues are crushed and/or don't line up, it may still survive, but not make for a good union. It may later break in a good wind.

You can only try it and see!

I can't get much information from the photo (take too far away and at odd angle), but I would probably have just cut it off and rooted the cutting.
