Hi,

I'm struggling with my Ildi tomato - it's fully grown, flowering and have produced a few small tomatoes already, but about half of the flowers turn yellow at the stem and fall off. I had this problem last year also, but then I made every error possible (too small container, inconsistent watering etc) - I got one ripe tomato for my effort! This year I'm trying to do it right, at least as right as I can given my constraints: I'm growing it in a self-watering container (20 liters - about 5 gallons), it has about 8 hours of sunlight, temperatures have been well within the limits of what a tomato plant should be able to handle.

I have two determinate plants (Heartbreaker) growing together in a 15 liters container next to the Ildi, and they are thriving. I just don't get it - are Ildis supposed to be fussy?

I'm growing many other cherry types on the roof (Sungold, Super Sweet 100s, Black Cherry, Gardener's Delight), and they are having way more extreme conditions - cold, heat, inconsistent moisture etc, and yet, I haven't seen any blossom drop there.

Does anyone have any ideas why this keeps happening to my Ildi?
