We took a photo of our front and headed to a local nursery (when they weren't busy) and they were kind enough to walk around and show us different plant/shrubs and make recommendations that would suit our home - and not charge a fee. It also depends if you want shrubs, flowers,annuals mixed with perennials, manicured or more like an English garden. If it were me, I would also remove the pavers and carve out a softer and larger space and even consider adding a curved garden down the side of your front walk. Add a large rock, so that when the plants are small, it fills in the space and as garden matures, you can just move it around.

Are you only landscaping the part of the yard that you're showing or is there more?

I'd def put in an evergreen near the end of the home to hide the stuff there. I saw this picture yesterday on Houzz and think it might work for your homeIminus fireplace), but that depends upon what you really want to do. Do you want a small patio like in the picture, only flowers, trees?

I would curve the garden starting from the corner and finish almost to where your car door is. What you add is another storey and really depends on the look you want and how much care you want to do. That's a great discussion to have at the nursery.
