Before anything else, I'd cut off some healthy leaves to root. That'll provide a backup in the event the plant dies.

Then, I suggest repotting. Clean off the roots and then put the plant into a new soil/potting mixture.

Whatever happens to the flowers - as long as the plant keeps growing - it will produce more blossoms. And they do not last forever anyway.

I would just leach i with a lukewarm water in a sink - let a water run through the soil until it comes clean - and then dry on a stack of newspapers. Whatever was in your lemon water- lemon acid and sugar - will wash out.

Putting the leaf down is a good idea - Leon is correct.

Taking the plant outside and let it sit in the sun is a NO-NO. You'll burn it bad. They like good light - but not direct sunlight. It needs a good east or west window without direct light from 11 am to early afternoon when sun is very intense. Morinng and evening sun is good.

Hi Melloout! I drink a lot of lemon (fresh squeezed slices) water with sugar. After thinking about your post and reading then answers I began to wonder. Water (won't hurt the plant), lemon (will it hurt the plant at all?), and sugar (don't they recommend sugar & water to "perk" up violet leaves?)

Just a thought that came to me. BUT if in doubt about what you dumped on a plant of any kind, immediately flush with water. Strictly a preventative measure.
