Korean Maple insight

Hi guys. I ordered a small Korean maple off of eBay yesterday, it was cheap, and I've wanted one for a while, so I'm not super concerned about being duped. I read a fair amount about Acer pseudosieboldianum back when my maple addiction first began, about a year ago at this point, but hadn't revisited it since.

It doesn't seem like there's been very many "deep" threads about the Korean maple, so any personal experience, pictures, advice, testimonials, etc will be very much appreciated. Thanks very much!

Think extra cold hardy Acer palmatum and you've pretty much got the situation wrapped up!!

I have a pair of acer pseudosieboldianum. I guess it doesn't matter in TN, but I have found out that they do quite well in a cool summer climate. They will grow leaves even in a really cold spring when native trees wait for more heat.

Mine grows pretty slow, but that is probably due to poor and dry soil. Slow but steady growth. I will get some more of them, and grow as understory in other parts of my woodland.
