It has been a good year for carrots.

Johnny, you always amaze me. Your write what you do in one or two little sentences and never mention the hours of hard work that it took to produce the product. I pray for your continued succes and cheer your determination.

Thank you for the encouragement. Our nonprofit corporation is almost ready to stand on its own two feet. Our CEO has come a very long way in just three years. She has learned how to buy, operate, maintain and troubleshoot tractors. She has learned how to grow potatoes, corn, PEPH peas, carrots, and many Fall (cool season) crops.

She has demonstrated a lot of creativity and critical thinking while leading us.
I think the area she needs the most help with is recruiting and managing volunteers. I hope to find a real rip snorter to help her in that area.

It is important to create a self supporting corporation because I will be moving to the old soldiers home soon and our CEO can't do it all by herself.

You don't need luck. You have talent, skill and God on your side, but I'll wish y'all good luck anyway.

When reading about how far your CEO has come, I can't help noticing that you're not just growing vegetables, you're growing people too.

I hope the old soldiers home is ready for you because I know you're not going to move in there and just sit in a chair. You'll be busy continuing your good works one way or another once you're living there, I am sure of that.
