A friend in the southeast, near the river, has them. She said her neighbours don't, though, so they are maybe not well established yet. I guess it's only a matter of time though.

Hopefully a natural predator will establish itself.

I've killed a half dozen so far this year. They are all over here.

The rabbits ate the lilies first. :/

Not sure what is worse, rabbits or beetles! A friend of mine both fences her lilies for the rabbits, then dusts for the beetles. Good to know about the talcum powder. I also find when planted beside each other, the beetles prefer to munch on the thinner leaved lilies before the fleshier thicker leaved lilies.

EWWWW! Those darn things are BACK!!! I caught not one, but TWO on one of my lilies today.... and they were mating.... HOW DARE THEY!? Gross.... so I got them both crushed at the same time..... LOL

Two's nothing. I already killed around 20 before the rabbits somehow snuck into the backyard and ate the lilies.

Last year I must have killed over 100.

These red beetles will be a perfect garnish for a tasty rabbit stew.... lol

I sprayed with the pesticide seven Konrad recommended and I haven't seen a red Beatle for so long and my lillies have bloomed and look amazing
