When we finished the kitchen last year I thought color would be added just through fabrics. This is a strange rambling space with 7 doorways and the primary entrance to our home. We decided to do a feature color to separate the entrance from the kitchen. I haven't decided if I love it and should extend the blue into the laundry/ garage nook or take it back to pale grey. It may continue to evolve since we can do the upholstery cushions ourself when we want a change. Not pictured is the exterior entrance and deck which have the same color scheme through accessories. I love pops of bright color but was afraid to choose bold cabinets and grey is my husband's favorite color. We love the function and light in our kitchen and cannot believe a year has gone by.
