I found a piece of quartzite that I really like (fantasy fusion), but am wondering if the slabs I'm looking at for the counters would compliment it. I would like the slab on island to be the focal point. My cabinets will be shaker-style paint grade--thinking maybe white/off white, but open to suggestions. I will have glass in most of the upper cabinets.

I haven't finalized any of these pieces and would like to get your opinion/feedback before purchasing.

I was thinking of using the counter slab as backsplash and above the oven. I think adding subway tiles would make it too busy.

Island will be 4x8, so using about 2/3 of slab (it's 6 x 10)

The counter top:

choice 1 is a quartzite Perla Venata (antiqued/honed);

choice 2 is a granite called Georgia Black (antiqued/honed)

There will be wood flooring throughout the living room/kitchen area. Ceilings are vaulted--highest pt is 15".
