Same here, lots of rain all night. But I all the Hoyas I have out in the elements have fast draining soil mix. And most love this swampy mess. I lost a lot of mangos due to wind. :(

Getting to work this morning will be another challenge...

Here, too in St. Petersburg, my plants are on a covered patio with floor to ceiling screens in front. The leaves are all clean of dust now, the porch too ! Like ric, most of my plants are in fast draining mix. The rest have the pots shielded with their leaves acting as umbrellas, so they didn't get flooded. They love this weather ! In 2 days, with lots of sunshine, this mess will make my plants push out a boatload of growth. 90 -92 coming all week long ! Aerial roots will be everywhere !

How did you do, Pug ?

Marco

Same here with tons of rain. Luckily, I grow mostly indoors, although my brand new prickly pear cactus (spineless) got blown over in the wind and lost a couple of new baby pads. :(

I was thinking of you Floridians when I heard you were getting slammed with all the rain. But plants LOVE rainwater! My succulents can get rain after rain after rain and they do fine. But if I watered them like that, they'd all croak.

Denise it does seem to make a difference rain vs. watering. I don't water THAT much but some of my succulents just hate it (death). Maybe I should move them out where they get rain only.
