Two, it's the large TV that is crowding the space IMO, might be more balanced with a console under it. Love the coffee table and chairs.

Two chairs it is! Re: the tv comment, it had to be a compromise of style versus ergonomics. Flat and centred on the wall simply did not make for comfortable viewing. The mount moves though. It can be slid flat against the wall (not quite centred, but close ish) if company is over and it is not in use. Here is a better view of that wall in case you have further suggestions for designing around it. I'm struggling with whether or not I can even put any artwork on that wall.

I would put a console under the TV.....maybe could even use a corner console or one made just for that space.....Right now, it looks like the TV is floating and needs something under it. How about something like your coffee table with the wood and wrought iron legs?

Center t v on wall; remove rug (too formal and makes the room appear smaller); get the other chair; change out pillows on sofa.

You need more gray to make the chairs work...gray coffee table.

I would add a long low console on the brick wall and since the tv is on a pullout swivel, place tv in centre of wall and only move over and out when watching, vs it being the other way around the way you have it. I would definitely use two chairs to accommodate more seating and with tv moved from that corner, it will feel more spacious and balanced for your extra chair. Your coffee table is nice and I would continue with the rustic/casual feel with pillows and rug choices and even some rattan blinds on the window. It could be a lovely room when warmed up with accessories and layering.

Going out on a limb here - does this HAVE to be a TV room? It just looks like such a serene space to chill out in. Definitely needs two chairs. If you want a rug, a simple jute rug would not compete with the patterned tiles. Love the new coffee table!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. The rug stays for now due to budget but I'll keep your ideas/comments in mind when I replace it. The pics you've all shared are lovely. Yes this is the best room for the tv versus the living room. There are neutral woven blinds already - they came with the house - they aren't showing in any of the pics I don't think.

Regarding tv placement, I can play around with what to do with it when not in use.

I love the idea for orange pillows. Those would be great.
