Hi all - the steps to our front porch have rotted out, and need to be replaced. But the wood on the front porch floor (Douglas Fir) is in decent condition, though in need of sanding/repainting.

The treads on the new steps will be made out of mahogany, with red cedar railings and risers. We plan to paint the red cedar railings and risers white and keep the natural color of the mahogany (seal but not stain). In the next 3-5 years we want to replace the porch wood w/mahogany.

Q - suggestions on color to paint the porch floor now? Our house is white, w/some black trim and front door is a brick-red color (almost orange). An old photo of the front of the house is attached (we've already re-done the front walk.
