can someone comment on this? We are considering putting these in but i am worried about mold in there. Can you treat the wood with bleach or would it ruin it?

If using teak or ipe wood you won't have too much of a problem - these woods don't collect soap etc like tile or other materials..

As long as the floor is removable and brush-washed outside, it cleans easily. If it is fixed into the floor (which i've never seen). you may have issues underneath the wood but that would be true of any elevated floor.

Bottom line is that it is all about aesthetics. If it works, use it!

DON'T USE THESE WOODEN PLANKS!!!!! The design is beautiful sure enough, but I just rented a villa for a week with this design. OMG!!!! The planks were mouldy and stunk to such an extent that I couldn't even go in a 3 metre radius. Not to mention the disgusting amount of hair clogged up underneath.
