Please help with exterior!!!

Hello all,

Our rental property became vacant so long story short, we decided to downsize and we've been in the process of remodeling it so we can move into it. As you might be able to see, we've cleared out some of the trees/bushes/plants in the front. Still unsure of how the landscape should be but that will be a separate post. My present dilemma is how to give the house an 'updated' look with paint. We would love the look of a modern style house (clean lines and neutral colors) but we do realize it's a 80's Florida home with heavy laced stucco (some say Spanish or pudding) and three sections of wood planks (above garage door between windows and large area of front left side of house). Some of the planks are in need of repair thus I'm considering: 1) replacing with Hardie horizontal planks 2) remove planks and fill in all areas with the same designed stucco 3) do a combo fill in stucco and also use stacked stone. I feel like the current plank design is 'too busy'. Filling it with all stucco might be 'too plain' and stacked stone could be nice but where and how much of it?

While we're open to beiges, taupes, and greiges we're leaning towards two different grays to paint the house as our main interior color is repose gray.

Thanks in advance! :)
