What's this weed?

The leaves are wilted and the plant was about 2.5 feet tall when I plucked it. It smells so fragrant and sweet-ish. The part I pulled off the top is sitting in my garage and the whole place smells like it. Any ideas? Wish I could post the scent! TIA....

Hm. There aren't any more non-shriveled up ones in your yard, are there? This is a bit like having to ID a body from dental records... Not to be too macabre. Also, where are you located?
