Noid roses planted by my grandma.

If anyone wants to take a crack at their ID go ahead. They would've been planted 70's - 80's and have to have been readily available in nurseries in Southern California.

Yellow. Lovely white wine rose fragrance. About 14 feet tall. Blooms near continuously. Fades in the sun a bit, cloudy weather brings pink out to the tips.

This rose is about 5 feet tall and wide. Not very bushy. It's a bright cerise but fades at the edges in the sun.

Warm cinnamon bubble gum type fragrance. Blooms in flushes. My camera hates this colour. The second photo is more colour accurate.

This one is a surprise. It's virused, and grows poorly. So I didn't expect such a nice flush.

Bud are peachy orange. The blooms themselves range from orange, to peach, to different shades of pink. It's very pink this year. Tea fragrance. The blooms open very quickly. From bud to fully open in just a few hours.

Thank you everyone for your nice words!

Sutekesh - It has taken a few years. But this is the first year I can really feel the results of my work.

Sara-Ann - Blue girl was perfect! Smelled divine too. Her blooms are not as pretty now that's it's hot lol.

PrettyPetals - Thank you! You should see be sometimes. Lying on my back in the dirt with a piece of paper being held up at a funny angle, taking pictures of roses with my phone.

The only one out if all of them I really truly care about identifying is the really tall yellow one.

I love that rose so much. Lasts forever in a vase too.

Is your Grandma's yellow a climber or has it just not been severely pruned?

'Gold Medal' and 'Elina' both came out in the early 80's. GM does have pink edges and is a grandiflora so could be 14ft. in S.Calif.

'Chinatown' listed as a 6ft. climber (???) may have hit the nurseries. It does have pink edges

I love your last one pictured of Grandma's. Peachy orange. It reminds me of 'Helen Traubel' I had years ago. Blew fast but those colors. Ahhh.

    Irisgal.

I do not think it is a climber. It's planted too far from the wall and grows in a very classic hybrid tea sort of way.

I do trim it down to about 6 feet every year. Perhaps not severe enough.

I do not think that, whatever the variety is, it is listed as being able to grow that tall.

Gold medal has too few petals, and gets too pink. The pink is the slightest hint at the very tips of the petals. The photo above shows the pink.

This photo shows it a bit more obviously while it's in bud stage.

Elina is a bit too open as well. And too pale.

It's got really full flowers. And they don't bloom in clusters. They flower singularly on really long straight stems.

Wow! Pillow Fight looks splendid all opened up!! So pretty!!! Julia Child has such wonderful shades of yellow - :)

My favorite is Yves Piaget!!! What a frilly masterpiece!!! Mine was a bareroot last summer, and never looked very good. I can't wait for this year!!

Thanks for showing us your roses!

My yves piaget was new last year. It did nothing!

    This year. Not much better.

    The bush is barely growing.

At least the blooms are nice. The first one it made this year looked like this. Not so pretty lol.
