I am thinking about using MDF paneling to install a boxed molding on the dark gray wall. I am also thinking about replacing the current medallion with a more ornate one to help contrast better with the more contemporary design aspects of my room. Along with this I am wondering if a small crown molding only on the dark gray wall on top of the MDF molding would look good or out of place if I did not put crown molding on the opposite white wall.
