That's a gorgeous cabinet. There's one on Craigslist here, asking $600.00. Of course, it looks perfect and it's been there for weeks, so no one is paying that. Did the machine come with it? That's a 201, often referred to to as the best machine Singer ever made. It can drop it's feed dogs to do free motion quilting, too.

Thank you ladies :) I was so excited when I found it. Yes it did come with the machine and it was only $150. I like the color it's painted but will redo it. I like bright neat colors. :D The only thing is the plug is missing. Do you all know if that's something that I would still be able to find?

If you want to get a neat sewing desk just go to the thrift stores in NC they were everywhere and for good prices too. I was visiting from Texas and couldn't believe how good the prices were. :)

I've been looking for a 201 for a good price for the last few weeks. They aren't too common. (I've really gotten into sewing machines.)

It's no problem for the plug. I'm on several vintage sewing machine lists, so will get you an address.

bkay2000 if you ever find yourself in Dunn, NC their thrift stores have sewing machine desks all over. I went to 2 stores and both had 2 sewing desks. One had the tools and manual too. There was one that I could swear was a small record player. Opened it up, nope another sewing desk. :) The one I bought I believe was the most expensive too at $150. So lots of good deals.

Just bought a plug from the site. Hopefully the machine works! :)

I just picked up my 201-2. I'm with you. I hope it works.
They said it did. Grampa was watching the grandkids for the summer. Two dogs were going nuts. It was really dark in that room, too. The flywheel turned and the needle went up and down. Hopefully, there will be no problems.
What can I say? I bought it. I didn't plug it in. Will get photos.

I'm so glad you found one! I paid a little extra for quicker shipping for my cord haha We just moved my desk upstairs. Man that was a task! But now I have a nice surface to do my cutting on until my plug comes in. :) I can't wait to see pictures :D
