Is Alocasia 'Tiny Dancers' difficult to grow?

last modified: 10 years ago

After seeing the first leaf unfurl from an Alocasia odora "bulb", this newbie has been getting more curious about similar Aroids. Googling for house-plant sized members of the family to consider in the future, came across Alocasia 'Tiny Dancers'. Many of the comments said it was difficult to grow, very finicky, or that it was lost in a few months - but don't provide details.

Would this be a bad choice for a new grower (especially one without the easiest access to good light indoors)?

Thanks.
