Looks like an older leaf. Cut it off and trim away any brown edges on any leaf if it is objectionable. If all the leaves start looking ragged then you would have some problems, but right now I don't see anything out of the ordinary.

Note that tuberous are not good growers in the southeast (or southwest I would guess). Maybe some tuberous growers will chime in.

Does the container have drainage holes? If not you might have root rot. I personally wouldn't have plants sharing a pot like that

Mixed pots are fine as long as they share the same growing needs and one plant doesn't shade out the other plants.

Im just not a fan of multiple plantings. Water and nutrients have to be shared between the plants

That is a nice combo! Id still have them in their own pots tho, then plant them in the big container.

Six of one, half a dozen of another. In the end, there are probably tons of ways to grow plants together.

I do have a planter in the garden that has several different plants in it mind. The main one is a buddleia (not allowed to plant in the garden so tubs it is!)

I hear you. Containers are a valuable tool in the gardener's arsenal. I had to dig up six struggling hydrangeas last fall since they weren't doing well at all for the few years they were there (competition for sun and water among the big trees). Now all of them are at least twice the size and most are blooming nicely.
