How often are you going to use the griddle compared to burners and i hope you realizew ith a 48” range your exhaust system will be very loud

i do regularly have several pots going at once and they are typically oversized because I entertain quite a bit. I was just wondering how people like the Miele griddle and whether it is easy to keep looking clean since it is permanent.

I haven't used my griddle yet, but I've been to the Miele Experience Center. The griddle will not look spotless like it would brand new. Even the lady that works there said you can't get it to look like brand new due to grease, heat distortions, etc. She did show how to clean it with basically just table salt while hot and scrapping the debris off with it. Because of it, I may just use it as another heat source rather than cooking directly on the griddle plate itself.

What did you decide to purchase? I am debating between the Miele 48" or 36" range top with griddle. Not sure I really need 6 burners and a griddle - what's been your experience?
