glaze for kitchen cabinets

I'm having my cabinets refinished using a professional and trying to match Thomasville Carrara. It's an antique cream/white color with a pewter glaze. After five different attempts to match the base color, this professional can't seem to get the glaze right. It looks more purple than grey. I think we now have two possibilities for the base color. Not perfect but I think I can live with it. Any suggestions for the glaze color? I'm sure this professional is very over this project with me but I haven't deviated from wanting the original sample door that I wanted matched. My cabinet doors and drawer fronts have already been removed and have been prepped and primed. We are now almost 6 weeks into this project. Any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated.
