Did my shopping early today in Killarney and escaped before the crowds got too bad. Called at my favourite place in Kerry; the Traditional Farms at Muckross. It has become ny second home... At the Pat Farm they have a day old donkey! Utterly capitivating...

On the down side, they always have two collie puppies; they are well soclalised by the time they go to their new homes and carefully placed BUT in the Irish way they are too young to be away from their mother. Todays pair are barely six weeks. I played with one and when I left him he started crying . There was a young German couple who wondered where their mother was and i carefully explained that this is common here. Breaks my heart.
