Mannequin

Hi there

i have a full body and face red mannequin I'm looking to move into my living room. Any suggestions on how to pull this off?

Excuse the man in the photo. I just moved so I'm working on putting things together . Here's another view

Love the mannequin. I do believe she needs to be a little more outrè, and I think the space needs some adjustment to accommodate her as a piece of art.

I assume a TV will go in front of the pass thru (which I would close up, BTW). I'd keep all the furniture, the lamp, the hunky guy on the sofa, and lose the ladder shelves and the graduation photo which don't fit the vibe of this room.

I guess it depends on how you want to integrate her. I've generally only seen partial mannequins treated as pop design elements, rather than clothed figurines, but not sure if that fits your style.

You might try dressing her in a really outrageous outfit, so that the colors and patterns of the clothes could act like art on the wall, as well as bringing some brassy flair! :) Or maybe you could showcase a great outfit that you never have an excuse for. Dunno, but fun possibilities!

Thank you all for your response. I really want to include in my LR. I do have a great outfit I would never wear in public I can dress her in. I'll also look for brighter colors for her to stand out in. Thanks again.

i would like to see her holding out a lamp like a starlight one, while holding a ballerina dance move with the rest of her body. are you understanding this? i do not want to see an ugly light sticking out of her head. I want her to gracefully hand you one.

HI -- What fun to have her . I think I would glue sequins and fancy buttons to her so she becomes an Art piece . Add some red accents into the room. Find an area carpet that fits the room minus 18 inches around . Add some accent pillows and Art . Window coverings like drape side panels with wood blinds filling the alcove area . As for the other man-a-kin maybe put him in the corner so he is comfy .

Leave the man there, he works very well with the mannequin. Would make great art photos, with her looking at him.

Love the mannequin! I'd treat her as a work of art, remove the clothes and make her a significant part of a vignette. As was done here

I would hang some light curtains and place the mannequin in the corner where floor lamp is. Stage her to look like she is pulling the curtains back to look out

I am not really liking her in the corner. Can you switch her and the lamp - you'd have to move the ladder of pictures and move the sofa over.
