Hello ! I don't know if you remember me ...Toomuchglass . I used to be a regular here when it was still garden web . ( I liked that much better than this format ) . I came back to peek in and saw Mosaic wench & Silva both passed . My heart broke reading that. I still see a few familiar names -- Ernie, I remember you ! Are you still doing mosaics ? I've gotten old enough to join our senior center ! Now I'm taking glass fusing classes there. I'm still doing everything and anything stained glass . Let's update each other on where we've been . I'd LOVE to know what all the "old gang" is doing !!!

I haven't done any mosaics in a long time, so I haven't been around here much. It's been years since I was a somewhat regular poster here, so I don't know if anyone would remember me. Probably back in 2006 or 7. I've moved 3 times since then, and I'm packing to move yet again. I just packed up the plate Pat made in an exchange all those years ago, which made me think of this place. Sad to read the news about Pat and Silva too. And also how slow this place has gotten. After we get settled in our new house I have one of those exercise balls I want to mosaic, so I'll come back and post about that. Maybe we can perk this place up a little bit.

ooo - mosaic an exercise ball! Never that of that.

Hey, toomuchglass! I haven't done anything in about a year. I come on looking for inspiration to kick me back into gear.

I don't see any real difference in the format. You can still post and post pictures. I can't figure out why people got so upset. AZ Gardening fell to pieces, too.

Do you know anything of Slowmedown? Something was wrong quite a while ago, but she said it was only temporary.

Wonder if I'm old enough for the senior center? What is the requirement? I can't think of the name, oh yes, I do: Nicethyme. Wonder what she is up to?

I haven't done any mosaics either. I must be getting old because I don't like change ! LOL The printing here is so light ,it's hard to see. I haven't seen Slow posting anywhere & the only post I saw from Nice thyme is here. They've all left the nest !!!

You have to be 50 to join our senior center & it's free. They have stained glass & glass fusing with tons of other classes. I also take ceramics and Fiber Art. The ladies are a hoot ! I have 2 glass horses that I fused to make a big mosaic . Turns out that's number 195 on my long list of to do's ....*sigh*

    Idaho: I know about you.

    1) you love purple

    2) you have a distinctive style

    3) you're doing a mannequin!!

I love purple, I have no style yet, and I have a mannequin, but haven't started until I get some grand inspiration and know exactly what I want to do with it. I did have an idea for the legs, but it hasn't gone anywhere yet.

What dust up? Were you bad?

She was not bad. It was just a silly time.

Looked at your stuff shades, nice place, great work. I recall, at the time moving there was a sort of dream for you I think?

Ernie I am bad to the bone but do not tell any one.

Wackyweeder I wish you were here working your weeding magic on my weeds. OH My.

Ernie you have me pegged for loving purple. Turquoise too. Yes I am doing The mannequin Thelma and have a couple more in my attic/loft to do. And two more I already did. I am going to have a houseful of Mannequins. I had to have cataract surgery last summer so had to put Thelma aside while waiting for my eyes to settle down after surgery. In the mean time I worked on other projects that were not so visually demanding. And there Thelma sits waiting in my dinning room. With no table. LOL.

I really need to finish some thing before going onto the next thing and I am winding things up now. I want to finish my hallway wall and making a gazillion grape leaves and also need to cut probably the same number of grape vine pieces. This is so boring. I am mounting the green leaf glass onto mirror bits. Nothing artistic about it just boring. I also need to compete the arbor sections to install on the wall then build my grape vine. Then get some sort of lighting and I hope to no longer have a long dark hallway.

Then I will move back to Thelma. I need to lay her all the way across my worktable and cutting table and need to clear room to do this.

I am sure when you are ready you will start on your mannequin. they are fo fun to do and develop such a personality.

In the mean time hubby has cancer so I do not want to get too tied up in a project while needing to tend to him. There is just so much do to all the time. Holding down the fort. The out come will be grim. :'( Soldering on............. I am glad I have my art and animals to turn to.

Well it really is sad to see this place so empty. I dropped out again for awhile. My husband passed away in August from pancreas cancer. I am still going great guns on mosaics though. I still have not finished Thelma. I did finish the hallway wall and Eve the mannequin is all done and finally grouted too. She sat here for a couple years with just a tiny bit to do.

Right now I am working on the guest bathroom base cabinet. It is a small cabinet and not terrible visible. I thought to do it first to sort out mistakes that might happen before I do the master bath. I now have the right side style and center glued onto the cabinet.

I did some stair risers to install on my side door steps. Not on the treads but the riser part. all the fill in is done now waiting on the weather to get warmer so I can install them.OOPS I think I have the center one placed here wrong. The red flowers need to be on the ends.

I like the mosaic groups on FB but they are just so big and wish people would come back here.

Hi everyone. It's been a looooong time since I have checked in. I was oldcrafty back when! I have worked on a few projects but nothing lately Just dropped in to see if anyone was still around Sorry to here of those that passed. I used to communicate with slowmedown and it has been years since I've spoken with her.

Shades 0f Idaho you have posted some very nice work. I remember too much glass and wacky weeder. I will have to make a point of checking in more often. I preferred it when it was Garden Web also but I'm glad there is still a way to check in with the old bunch!
