NIce plant Brad. Mark from this site had informed me a few years ago of information from a friend. That the A. True Socotranum does have a different dormancy as many of the other species. Mine sat without leaves a couple years ago in the late summer and leafed out again in Nov.-Dec. Right now they are growing and in full leaf.

Nice prezzie! What's it planted in please, just curious as to what's underneath, and are those coconut coir chunks?

Pumice, grit, about 10% cactus potting soil, and coconut chunks. Even with the soil, it's fairly fast draining. I bought a compressed brick of coco chunks from Petsmart and thought I would use some in this mix.
