Climbing vines for my block wall in zone10b

Hi, I am new here so I hope I am at the right place.

I have a front yard 14 feet by 29 feet and a rectangular strip , 4 feet by 25 feet, between the sidewalk and curb.

I would like to remove all grass from the front lawn and do some inexpensive landscaping using perennial, gravel, and climbing vines for the dividing block wall between my neighbour and my house.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what to plant? I live in Long Beach, CA in zone 10b. I would like inexpensive suggestions and plants requiring easy maintenance.
