I bought a Henryi Clematis from the plant nursery and believed by the picture on the tag that it is supposed to be white. It bloomed today for the first time and it is purple and white. I think I read somewhere that different colored clematis such as red and blue will turn purple in the shade but a white one? Anyone here have any experience with clematis and growing different colored ones? I now have 4 clematis and they are all purple. They are pretty but I wanted different colored ones and am training them to wrap around a pecan tree. It's shaded but not deep shade.
