Would have to know many more details about your growing methods to make any sort of accurate guess but yes, it is possible that the fact it already had fruit set on it has triggered it out of its growth cycle. At this point removing the fruit can't hurt anything and may help. But the real problem could be any number of other thins too.

Manitoba is a determinate variety so if your others are indeterminates Manitoba will always be a smaller plant than them.

Thanks! I only plant determinate varieties. The indeterminate get unruly :-) The others are determinate - "Oregon Spring" and "Willamette".

The other 3 are in the same raised bed and have all received the same feedings and watering. The other 3 are doing just fine and growing as expected. Just the one. I'm going to snip off the fruit and see what happens.

As Dave mentioned, determinants have a slow growing habit. My determinants are half the height of most indeterminants.

There are diseases that will slow down/stunt growth. I am dealing with CMV in my garden (cukes, beans, tomatoes)...and it definitely affects growth. I always try to detect what is going on under the soil (roots) if possible, also. That often reveals what is going on above the soil line.

There are many things that can stunt or slow growth of any plant. They range from a genetically immature or DNA-damaged seed to weather effects, to varietal differences, to root damage or injury and all things in between. And even growing in the same bed with the same diet can't prove or disprove anything.

So the bottom line is you may never know if there is a problem much less what it is. Your choice boils down to pull and replace it or just leave it and let it do its thing. If you have 50+ plants it is easy to just leave it. If you only have 3 then pull and replace it.

Update - I snipped off the fruit and the plant started growing again. It's now larger and covered in baby fruit. Thanks all
