My oldest is 10 years old. Most of mine grow two or three new leaves each year, and lose them pretty much at the same rate.

I have two which must be more than 17 yrs. As they grow older they will elongate and can be cut and repotted.

Who knows how long? As long as they are healthy and happy with your growing conditions, they will continue to grow....as with any plant.

These two were attached to a Casssia roxbughii tree three years ago Skipped flowering the first year and have since flowered right on cue BUT flowers are smaller less of them than with pot culture . though the flowers last over 8 weeks . Saddest looking phals in my whole collection lol Interesting part about the experiment is the roots .They are easily 8 feet from the plant!! and have reached the ground , growing among some broms and calatheas .Only healthy looking roots on either plant has aborted all upward growth. I suspect ,seeking more moisture ?? Can't wait to see what happens next year lol I suspect they might offset at ground level?? gary
