Not happy with tall snowdrop foliage

I planted snowdrops in a bed of rhododendrons and vinca groundcover. I thought that the foliage would be covered by the vinca, but it's not. It's splayed all over the top of it. Can the leaves of spent bulbs be tucked under groundcover or does it need to be exposed to the sun? I am inclined to just move them to a place where taller foliage will do the job - like ferns and hosta. What do you think?

If the plants didn't need sunlight, the leaves would grow under the ground.

I would think the snowdrop foliage would be gone or about gone by now? It's LONG gone down here in Arkansas (7a).

Have you noticed how snowdrop foliage grows in a spiral pattern as it ages?Very distinctive. I am a bit surprised it is a problem or that it is still visible.

I would just move them to a place where the foliage doesn't bother you. Also I think you are talking about leucojum which are usually called snowflakes not snowdrops. The flakes bloom later and have taller foliage, kind of like daffodils.
