The best organic method I have found is to patrol with a container of soapy water and knock them into it. After about 3-4 days of doing it the population is severely reduced. Next best for me is dusting the plants with Surround, a kaolin clay product that interferes with their ability to feed on the plants so they leave.

Another alternative is small hole netting over the plant. It doesn't get rid of them but does limit their access.

I have been doing the soapy water, which helped at first, but when I transplanted them to the raised bed a whole new crop of them arrived and now doesn't seem to help them any. My raised beds are unfortunately butted up against a neighboring property which is overgrown with weeds that they apparently thrive in!? I will have to try Surround. THANKS
