That is dead foliage from the vinegar spray you used. Don't where you read about the vinegar but it can easily kill plant leaves. It is an acid and is sometimes used as a weed killer. So you need to take much more care in believing what you read. There are good sources of info and 10x as many bad sources.

As for what to do. Flush off the plant with fresh water. If you used alot and much of it ran down into the soil, flush it out too. Then wait 24 hours and remove all the dead and dying foliage and wait. Hopefully removing all the damaged leaves will stimulate some fresh new growth but it will take a couple of weeks before you'll know if the plant will survive or not.

Don't treat until you know what the problem is. And then use a research-based product.

Oh no! I'm so careful where I get my information for politics and current events on the internet, but I never figured someone would try to steer me wrong on tomatoes! I washed the leaves immediately, and I flushed the soil as much as I could too. Now I guess I play the waiting game.

I feel very dumb for being duped so easily. Thanks for the advice and the quick reply.

As a very general rule, but a safe one if inexperienced, is to avoid the home-made remedies. There are tons of them out there and in most cases they result in disaster. Stick with commercially prepared products and always follow the label directions.
