That would be a very huge shrub when grown. The bed is now quite as wide as the sidewalk and would be only big enough to hold some ground cover, annuals or perennials. A tree or shrub would soon encroach on the sidewalk and could have damaging roots.

It would be a cute place for a fairy garden, birdbath or sculpture. You can get suggestions from Pikes Nursery in the Atlanta Area.
