Granite seam help

Just had the countertops installed and this is the seam area. It is inches from the sink so I see it constantly. Not only do I see it, but I can feel the whole seam. Is it my imagination or is it not a good job? Also, should there be any "dull" spots in the stone and will the areas of glue/resin come off?

Oh my gosh! I thought the two people above me were nuts at first (sorry to you two!) since I clearly saw a horizontal seam and thought the real problem was that the 2 pieces of granite were a horrible match for color. Then I stared at it some more... and realized the seam was VERTICAL and not horizontal. That is a very good seam. I couldn't even see it at first! As far as feeling it, we could feel ours at first, too, and I had them come back out and polish it again. Now it's as smooth as the rest of the counter.

It's your imagination. That is an excellent seam. Granite is not 100% glass smooth. That is normal.

That's all I wanted to know as its all I see when I look at the sink which is where it is. They miscut the backsplash so they will be back and I'll get the seam smoothed out then.

That is an excellent seam. They even have the dark areas lining up with other dark areas and light with light.

There must be something going on here that is not apparent in the pictures or your description. We can not see if it is rough, raised or in a poor location from this picture. Please provide more information why the seam is not smooth and tight.

Yes, natural stone has "dull" spots. It's polished the same, but refracts light differently. Nothing you can do. Hit the glue/resin with a razor blade. Hard, you won't scratch it.
