My Foxy can look at me with a look of love that makes my heart melt, if that counts. ;)

Love the cool moto-cat! Reminds me of James Bowen and his beloved Bob. If you've never read the book "A Streetcat Named Bob", I highly recommend it. The little ginger cat Bob saved James's life, and it's just a beautiful story. Here's a sweet little video tribute:

Actually, here's their story in a very brief nutshell. This is cute.

    sure does patty!

That very cute Ida. Its amazing how pets can change lives. It has been proven that they can extent lives as well, blood pressure drops when interacting with a pet. We dont have any pets unfortunately, DH is very allergic but my DS and DD do so I enjoy their pets.

Rose, I saw that picture on MSN this morning! Love it!

My George goes around the house opening doors. He does both the closets with lever handles and the bifold doors. Fortunately he hasn't figured out how to turn a door knob or we'd be in trouble!

My oldest son was going through a rough time after a break-up a few years ago and decided volunteering with dogs at a local shelter would help because he missed our dog so much. After a short time, he was adopted by an orange cat there and brought Leo to his home. I'd visit them in CA and found Leo to be a great cat but I'm a dog person at heart. Fast forward..... our son, his GF and Leo are living with us while we build our house and they build their tiny house. I cannot imagine life without Leo now. We call him *therapy cat* because he always seeks out the person who is in need and glues himself to them, lately my DH who is stressed beyond reason with this build. A few months ago it was our other son who was here for a time and stressed about finding work. He is an amazing cat (at least in my experience!) and my son says orange males are known for this and having a very easy going nature, not stand-offish. Is there anything to this? I fully intend to adopt at least one cat, preferably 2 when we are finally out of this rental and I'll be looking for input from you experienced cat owners!

My DS cat adores me! When we babysit our youngest grandson, the cat follows me around and sits beside me on the couch waiting to be petted, doesnt let me out of his sight. Might be because I sneak him treats while I am there but I rather like to think its just because that he likes me :>)

We don't have cats because both of our kids are very allergic to them, as are most of my siblings . . . but that is one awesome cat! I love that pic!

We had an orange male cat for 20 years and was the best cat we've ever had. In my one experience with them I think there is something to this therapy cat idea.

Pip! You little monkey!!! ( I have a cat named Pip too)

Pip looks like a meme I saw of "Existential Crisis Cat", lol. Oh those sweet mackerel tabbies. Smack smack (kisses to the top of his head).

"Existential Crisis Cat!" LOL! Love it!

Here is my orange male, Bucky. And yes, he is living up to the Ginger Tom legend! We also had one when I was growing up and he could have been an ambassador to non- cat lovers.

cattyles, he does! Pip does look just like the existential crisis cat:

Lol! Jen, admit it! Pip is a meme model, isn't he??

Ida's Pip is winning so far, as a meme model, lol. Therapy Cat is an interesting and needed cat job. And George is such a gentleman, opening all those doors just in case a lady wishes to walk through. My Daisy girl was an awesome guard cat. No one could pull up to the house without her running to the window to scope them out. Then she would meet them at the door growling with hackles up. As soon as she approved them, she was all lovey purrs.

I'm truly a convert and my DH who never met a cat he couldn't ignore is also!! We'll have to find dog loving cats - still need our my canine fix - hiking with a cat just wouldn't be the same! What is it with the orange males? Something genetic? They try harder? LOL!

Gryphon is one very relaxed cat! He likes to be in the middle of whatever you are doing, and I think he's beautiful while he observes us. His special talents are eating, sleeping, and wanting out after we let him in (or vice versa).

My first cat, owned by my parents when I was born, was an orange male cat. He really had his nose out of joint about me coming into the household. My mom told me that when I started toddling about he never missed an opportunity to take a swipe at me. I know my parents would not have let me mishandle him; apparently he'd lay in wait with a plan to eliminate me. They finally had to rehome him, although I never heard the details of that.

Even though I LOVE all cats, I would never own an orange one; glad others' experiences are more positive!

We have a ginger. He's not standoffish, but can be a bit of a scaredy-cat until he gets to know you. I don't think color has anything to do with personality. Don't let that be your guide.

Gus does like to stand up whenever possible. I catch him doing it all over the house. Surprisingly, he's never attempted to jump up on the kitchen counters, but he can almost see what's up there just by standing on the floor.

ETA - unfortunately this is the only cat I can have :>(

Our oldest cat, Middy, whom we took in about 4 years ago when he was 10, breaks up fights. Two of our other cats will fight quite a bit, so we have to rotate them in the house to eliminate interaction. The couple of times the cats ran into each other by accident, big screaming fights broke out. Middy lept into the fray both times, chest bumping the fighting kitties, to break them up. I've never seen anything like it.

Ok, I love Middy. Could he please come to our house for summer camp? My son and his cat moved in with me two years ago. His cat and my cat have big screaming, fur flying fights if they are "released" at the same time. They have shifts. The two kittens are "out" all the time and both big male cats dote on the kittens

That's impressive Bluebell! Never heard of anything like that in a cat.

Inga can measure things. She knows her fractions, decimals, the metric system, the works. She's great at math too.

It looks like Pip is back again, with a friend, commenting on the Brexit:

Well, my Simba can ride a tumbling chair down the steps, break the chair, gouge the wall, and fortunately remain unscathed. He is a bit intense and often has the "Pip" look. My Toby on the other hand is a mellow fellow. Pip looks like he's thinking "they're going to do what with my testicles"?

I love all the kitty pictures and I just have to say I think kitty noses are precious!

Awww, Pip looks like our Pop, he's a tabby too. Pop is quite clever, he lies in wait and will flash past like a light beam to run out the door to the garage. He's an indoor cat but likes to make an escape now and then.

For the most part our cats are pretty basic. I think their superpower is making the dogs cower in fear when they come near the dogs food bowls.
