Solutions of gibberellic acid (GA) sprayed on aroids causes them to bloom but, allegedly, aroids become addicted to it such that they won't bloom again without it. If the commercial grower of your plant used GA on your plant, it may not bloom again without more GA. GA is easy enough to buy on Ebay. See http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ep320 .

I grow around 6/8 different types and find they flower mostly in spring but the flower last for weeks . Something I've always wondered is how they get them to flower year around ?? Must be the GA?? When you see them in nurseries they are always in full flower no matter the time of year

Mine tend to stop in mid summer regardless of the culture method but they always return in spring though those grown in the "marsh garen " flower the most and over the longest period . gary

I dont like the idea of using chemicals like that.

GA is commonly used on produce, e.g., grapes.

Some of these chemicals are what occur naturally but are now produced and applied synthetically.

Aside from the flowering issue should it be split up when I repot in the spring? Is there a corm or tuber there?

There's no corm or tuber there. I've pulled them apart and planted them without any problem. Just take the usual care with repotting. Whether you do it or not depends on whether you want a clustered look or just more plants in separate pots.

I will repot in the spring, its getting too big. Might just start again from a few starts.
