I was loosening the soil in few pots yesterday and noticed a number of worms in those pots.
I am no worm identification expert but these worms look like worms in my worm bin.

Worms I commonly find in the ground are much thicker and bigger and whiter. The worms I found in pots were reddish and right size, just like the worm bin.

My theory is these worms managed to immigrate when when I fed vermicompost to plants few months back. I did not know about these worms and was not feeding or caring for them. Pots got water when plant need justified it.
It looks like potting soil has enough organic material for worms to sustain so far.

Should I start splitting my worm food across pots to sustain these colonies or leave them alone.
