Love Juliet. Sure the taste is not the absolute yummiest but way better then anything bought from the store. Great to freeze whole... When frozen, the skins come off easily if you put them in room temperature water for a few minutes. Are your plants in the ground or in pots? I suspect the bad reviews come from people who have grown in containers. This tomato is much too big for a container.

I have them in the ground, they're about 5' tall already. I have heard that the hotter it is, the sweeter they get, and we have hot dry summers (Central Washington State). I have high hopes for them, I'm not terribly picky, as long as they taste better than grocery store tomatoes.

Any color other than GREEN is welcome .:-).

But green is what I've got so far. Not only that, they are also tiny.

I picked 4 of them on Sunday. The first one I tried was mealy and tasted like a grocery store roma. It was a little underripe though, so I gave the others a couple days and they were all very good.

Oh good. Maybe not in your climate since the sun is probably more intense, but I noticed the fruit growing inside the plant, in deep shade, was not quite as good. This year I intend to prune my Juliet so that the foliage is not so dense.

Now they're really starting to ripen. I have them at the community garden, so I have been picking them early so they don't turn up missing (someone stole my first red tomato one year, different community garden, though).

The little ones are Tami G grapes, and the odd man out is golden boy. That one doesn't seem to be very close to ripe, but it was changing color. The one on the end fell off, so it's just all green.

8 days from barely red to bowl full of tomatoes.

Nice little tomatoes, could be sweeter, but they'll hold me over while the rest are ripening. The wind blew over the sunflowers that were growing in with the Cherokee Purples, revealing a ripening one, so those are next, I think. The rest got planted later.

The tomatoes that don't get eaten or given away are going to mostly be dried. Not much space here for canned or frozen tomatoes.

Yep, there Juliet is and very beautiful. Juliet is not sweet tasting but if you want sweet grow "Sungold" cherry tomato. I don't grow it since I don't like cherry tomatoes but I know many gardeners do and they love it: Has a sweet/fruity flavor

I have grown Sungold before. First time I grew it, I thought it was a red tomato for some reason. I waited a week for those darned orange tomatoes to finish ripening. I have a Sun Sugar this year, because no one had Sungold plants when I was looking, and I have heard that they are pretty similar. The Sun Sugars aren't ripe yet.

I am enjoying the Juliets, they make great tomato sandwiches.

In my community garden Sungold is THE tomato to grow. I do not because I can't deal with piles of cherry tomatoes all over the ground. If I could be there more often to manage the plant, then that would be a different story....

I have gotten 3 other gardeners to try growing Juliet and they all seem to like it.

Today's harvest. I got the same amount 2 days ago, but no big tomatoes.

I'm enjoying these little tomatoes more and more each day. They're very versatile. I dried and powdered some and made pizza sauce the other day. Worked great!

Between the tomatoes and the peaches, my dehydrator is running non-stop these days.

Finally our summer arrived here in PNW. Today I picked one SFT at color break. It seems that more is coming.

I have been to Yakima an Rainier valley area few time. The weather seems to be much better for growing tomatoes there.This is my 4th year here and it has been the coolest summer.

My best year yet. For tomatoes and peppers, at least. I seem to be the only person who can't grow zucchini, and my "straight-8" cucumbers turned out to be pickling cukes, and apparently, I don't like eggplant, I thought I did :).

It's been cooler/rainier here too this year, but over here that just means it's bearable to be outside. Except this week, the temp is hovering near 100 until Saturday or so, but then it's supposed to go back into the high 80s, which is pretty much perfect for the tomatoes.

These were all picked today, 3 days later. I didn't get them all, I'm sure, it was too hot to be out picking tomatoes.

280 tomatoes here. 260 of them are from my 4 juliet plants.

I grew couple of Juliets about 6 or 7 years ago, in GA. I could not keep up with picking all the ripe ones on time. I am growing one that it was on clearance sale for 99 cents , in a 2" pot. This was about 2 weeks ago. Not it is almost 2 ft tall, branching and has 2 tomatoes and more flowers. Juliet is a workhorse.
