If this is an existing house, bedroom at the front, closets in the middle and bath at the rear. If this is a plan for a new house, Sophie is right. What is that at the left of the master? If it's a deck, it seems odd to have it only accessible from the master and have no outdoor space off the kitchen and dining area.

The left of the home is a proposed covered porch accessible through master bedroom and from back of house. The home is on a corner lot - living / kitchen side fully exposed which is why a garage is planned for that space with the other side fairly private. Not ideal but that's what we're working with. Proposed master is currently two bedrooms, plan was to make it more of a master retreat. I agree with the bedroom, closets, bathroom split - any proposals for how to proportionally lay this out? My designs continue to leave too much open space in the bathroom.

Bathroom doesn't need to be deeper than 5 feet - tub/shower on the right, toilet under the window and vanity to the left. There could be one walk-in closet to the right of a hallway, or 2 smaller closets each side of a central hallway. Either way, closet(s) would start just above the doors to the bedroom.

Here's one way to do it, using the far end for the bathroom and running a closet along the same wall (with the access panel for the shower plumbing inside).

Here's one running the division the other way, which puts the windows in the wrong room -- you could flip the two if plumbing location is not an issue, but it usually is. Anyway, longer than the second bath, so you could probably get a double vanity in there if you wanted that. Long L-shaped closet.Ugh, sorry that these are so ugly, but it's such a small picture that it's hard to use shapes. Anyway, you really have a Too Many Doors problem with almost any arrangement. Might consider sliders or outward-opening French doors for the patio.

Excellent feedback - thank you. Appreciate the drafted drawings. Don't worry about the windows - all but the larger window at the front of the bedroom can be moved. Door to the patio with sidelight can swing in or out. Appreciate any additional feedback others may have.
