Need Help with Backsplash for newly renovated kitchen

I went from dark to white cabinets and have uba tuba granite. The backsplash is currently various shades of tan. It clashes with the dark gray in the creases of white cabinets. I'm thinking of just having someone paint the backsplash white. Does anyone have experience with this?
