Needing help designing laundry room.

We have been planning, saving, and dreaming about building our house for quite a while. We are now so close, I can almost see it. However, my laundry room is just not feeling right. There are a few things I wanted to try to incorporate.
They are:
Half bath
Washer/dryer
Hanging rack
9 cubbies for laundry baskets
Dirty clothes bins
Garbage
Pre-treating sink
Mudroom hooks and cubbies
Home management desk (small computer area)
Sewing area
Possible island for school crafts, projects and folding are

Any ideas and help would be much appreciated! I am just not a very creative person.

I can't really tell how much space you have, but you can start by figuring out how much space you need for each of the components you've listed, plus the space to get around them efficiently. Everything you've listed sounds great for a dream laundry/work space .. but togethre it might require a fairly large area.

I think the area closest to the kitchen door should be the home management area, the immediate left of entry door the cubbies and coat hooks, the hanging rack over the utility sink, the sorting cubbies to the right of washer and dryer, and a freestanding island out of the walkway by the washer/ dryer. Unless you sew often, I would just set up my machine at desk, island, or kitchen island as needed. Look at some of the amazing photos available for inspiration! Good luck!

Looks like you are trying to squeeze too many functions in this mud room. There is room for an island for crafts or flexible work area, but otherwise what you have there is fine, not sure what are the squares represent by the pantry and fridge wall.

Could you put a table in the middle? This can double as a laundry folding station and then as an arts and crafts when you are not doing the laundry. A square table might do it.
