I'm sure this topic has been covered countless times, I've been growing raspberries for close to forty years, though am new to blackberries and would like some advice. I'm in cold zone 4 and have planted one of the most hardy varieties available 'Balsors Hardy Black'. Plants went in two years ago and are now producing very strong upright canes, should these be headed back to branch themselves out, or is it best to stake them and allow to ramble and run and do some pruning next spring?
