1st floor reno - flooring dilema

We are going to install CoreTec flooring over a cement slab throughout our 1st floor. We love that it won't be as cold as tile and we don't need to worry about the temp changes with laminate or real wood. Now we need to agree on a color! I like Gold Coast Arcadia - I love the red tones and the variation. My husband likes Ivory Coast - lighter color and more modern.

Note: Wall colors will be changed... but there is very little natural light.

Stair tread is my hardwood... right is Ivory Coast and left is Gold Coast Arcadia..

With poor lighting, always go lighter. It will be a direct swap for what you have now. Light beige/pale flooring replaces light beige/pale carpet/tile. It will be a simple material swap without changing your colour scheme.

I like the lighter one, especially if you don't have a lot of natural light.

I actually switched the names of the samples... Left is Ivory Coast and Right is Gold Coast Arcadia... Would love to see a picture if anyone has either color installed...

I would go with the darker flooring. I think it will be a better March for your stairs. However you could've efinish your stair treads to match or install a nice carpet runner to minimize the issue and add more design flair. Then repaint walls with a warm (no yellows or oranges) neutral.
