It is a common zonal geranium, Pelargonium x hortorum. There are many, many different cultivars but most are quite similar in appearance and determining exactly which red it is would be nearly impossible.

Laurie. Yes. Fuzzy leaves and a "true red", if you will, with darker undertones. I always end up choosing this type for summer planting arrangements and I have one that I had wintered over for several years, but I was too late one year and a deep freeze came before I brought it in. This newest adoptee produced flowers over the winter which is always nice.

Its a form of zonal pelargonium (latin name Pelargonium zonale), common name also Pelargonium . And although they are in the Geranium family they are a different genus that comes from Africa and shouldn't really be called Geraniums. Its just that its easier to say.

If the colour is accurate and it is double flowered (I can't see clearly) it is very similar to Fire Queen.
