Hi,
My husband and I recently purchased a new home and I am exploring ways to furnish it room by room. Please note the furniture in the pictures is not mine. My taste is very traditional / pottery barn / shabby chic.
I want this room to be comfortable, warm, and kid-friendly.

I have a few ideas and would love to hear your feedback and recommendations.
- I love this painting called Tea Party and would love to mount it on the wall between the two windows. I would love to pull the colors for the couches out of the colors in this painting
- I love the idea for a built-in. I have attached a picture of one that I really like - my only concern is that I think the built-in will run directly into the window... any ideas on how to get around this?
- furniture - I am open to a sectional. Could I then place an armchair along the half wall by the kitchen? I would love a hint of blue in the sofa - any recommendations of fabric??
- coffee table- I am open to all ideas!
